ABOUT US

ONNSA Research Innovations Private Limited (ONNSA) primary focus is to harvest the full potential of perinatal tissues to cure the incurable. We achieve this by developing regulatory. Compliance cell and cell based products that will be useful in basic, pre-clinical and clinical research. ONNSA is led by scientists specifically trained to work with stem cells. ONNSA has a Class 10000 clean room with Class100 biosafety cabinets and top-class cell culture, storage and molecular biology facilities. ONNSA has the capability to culture clinically useful umbilical cord matrix derived MSCs (UCM-MSCS) using CTS-grade and Xenofree media essential for human use. Our facility enables us to prepare master cell bank and expand on demand. We will be able to provide QC tested UCM-MSCs to everyone interested in conducting research trials. UCM-MSCs can also be made available for compassionate trials, following due process. Scientific and advisory team at ONNSA has expertise in cell biology and stem cell culture, including iPSC culture and differentiation.

Founders’ Profile

Dr. N K Venkataramana

Dr. N K Venkataramana is the Chairman and Managing Director of ONNSA Research Innovations, incorporated in 2019. Dr. N K Venkataramana is an internationally acclaimed Neurosurgeon, Inventor and Academician. After completing additional training in micro-neurology at Hanover, Germany, he served as assistant professor in neurosurgery at the National Institute (NIMHANS). Currently the founder & Chief Neurosurgeon- BRAINS, the President Elect –Cerebro Vascular Society – India, EC Member -International Federation of Neuroendoscopy (IFNE),Treasurer – Asian Australian Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery.

Scientific Team

Dr Siddikuzzaman

was awarded Ph.D in Biotechnology from Karunya University, India in 2014. He was awarded DBT-Post Doctoral Fellow from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He has 9+ years post PhD wide work experience for several research Institutes and corporate organizations in India. He has worked as a Scientist at ChanRe Rheumatology & Immunology Center in Bangalore, Research Scientist-R&D at Stempeutics Research Pvt. Ltd; Bangalore wherein he has gained sound experience in human bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (hBMMSC). Later he joined Tata Medical Centre where he was involved to stratify the BRCAness in ovarian cancer patient in eastern part of India, and as a part of this tenure, he visited at Newcastle University, United Kingdom as a Visiting Researcher and gathered experience on how to utilize modern technology for the patients’ needs. He also worked at International Institute of Innovation and Technology as a Research Scientist in stem cell department to work on Umbilical cord-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells for research in regenerative medicine. He has published 22 International and 1 national article, 1 book chapter and 2 conference proceeding. At ONNSA Research Innovations pvt ltd, his goal is to better understand the biology of stem cells so that they become an important player for future innovative therapies for unmet medical needs. His research interest is in Stem cell biology, cancer biology and nano biotechnology.
